Kedai Oseng Endok
Amid the increasingly dynamic lifestyle changes of urban communities, a food stall called Oseng Endok is attempting to offer a new experience in enjoying typical Indonesian cuisine through a modern angkringan concept.
The idea emerged from the community’s habit of enjoying warm food while having relaxed conversations at night.
“We saw that urban communities need a place like an angkringan—warm and simple—but with a more comfortable and clean atmosphere,”
Located in Ciledug, Tangerang City, Oseng Endok, which carries the “upgraded angkringan” concept, is not meant to abandon tradition but to provide a better experience without losing its basic character.
This stall still serves classic menus such as egg dishes, warm rice, various chili pastes, and typical angkringan-style satay.
The aim is for Oseng Endok to not only be a dinner place but also a space to rest from the busyness of the city. “We want Oseng Endok to be a second space, a place to stop for a while, chat, or work,”
Oseng Endok operates until 4 a.m. The rhythm of city life often moves more at night.
“Many city activities come alive after work hours end. With these operating hours, we want to ensure that anyone can still find a ‘homey’ atmosphere in the middle of the night,”
In terms of the menu, egg dishes are the main icon, such as Nasi Oseng Endok Guyur, Endok Bakar, and various chili pastes that can be chosen according to the desired level of spiciness. There are also various angkringan satays made from fresh ingredients.
To support comfort, this stall features warm lighting and an open layout that maintains the familiar atmosphere of an angkringan while incorporating modern interior touches.
The main target of Oseng Endok is young people and urban communities who often look for relaxing places at night.
“We want Oseng Endok to be a neutral space that can welcome anyone,”
In the future, Oseng Endok plans to expand this concept to various major cities in Indonesia and introduce a new style of night cuisine for the younger generation.
