Calls of support for President Prabowo Subianto to continue his leadership for two terms and for Deputy Regent of Deli Serdang Lom Lom Suwondo to become Regent of Deli Serdang echoed during the celebration of the 18th Anniversary of the Gerindra Party held by the Deli Serdang DPC of the Gerindra Party.

The call was initially sparked by the chairman of the 18th Anniversary committee, Magadar Marpaung, and was met with a unified response from the attending cadres and sympathizers.

“Mr. Lom Lom Suwondo, Regent of Deli Serdang Regency,” said Magadar.

Subsequently, the Chairman of the Deli Serdang Gerindra DPC, who is also the Chairman of the Deli Serdang DPRD, Zakky Shahri SH, was met with enthusiastic responses from cadres during his speech regarding President Prabowo Subianto for two terms and Lom Lom Suwondo as Regent of Deli Serdang.

“Greetings, Great Indonesia,” said Zakky.

“Gerindra’,” answered the cadres.

“Gerindra,” said Zakky.

“United, Moving, Impactful,” said the cadres.

“Prabowo”, said Zakky.

“Two terms,” said the cadres.

“Brother Lom Lom Suwondo,” said Zakky. “Regent of Deli Serdang,” shouted the cadres.

Zakky then continued his speech in the presence of Lom Lom Suwondo, the Vice Chairmen of the Deli Serdang DPRD Agustiawan Saragih SH, Kuzu Serasi Tarigan SE, H Hamdani Syahputra, as well as Deli Serdang DPRD Members Ilham Pulungan MM, Dr Misnan Aljawi SH MH, Junaidi SH, Paian Purba SH and others.

He flashed back to the journey of the Gerindra Party in Deli Serdang Regency, starting with one seat until becoming the winner.

“Certainly, on this 18th anniversary of the Gerindra Party, I want to flashback, that the Gerindra Party in 2009 had one seat, in 2014 six seats, in 2019 seven seats and emerged as the winner, in 2024 seven seats as the winner again. In 2029, with permission, we want to repeat (as the winner),” said Zakky.

Like a continuous rowing motion, this followed previous issues about the determination of Deli Serdang officials which allegedly did not involve Deputy Regent Lom Lom Suwondo, which had begun to spread.

Zakky Shahri acknowledged that the unity of the Leadership and Members of the Deli Serdang DPRD is currently very solid, as seen from their attendance at the 18th Anniversary of the Gerindra Party. With that unity, if the regional election were to be held through the DPRD and Lom Lom Suwondo ran, he would be elected as regent.

“Earlier, Brother Lom Lom, about 35 DPRD members were present here, I counted. If the regent election is chosen by the DPRD, it would just be a matter of a quick vote, Brother Lom Lom,” said Zakky.

The unity felt by Zakky was very evident when earlier he had stated that the Gerindra Party Anniversary would be celebrated simply, so his colleagues did not need to attend. However, who would have thought that several hours before the event started, many had already arrived.

“My friends are united, Brother (Lom Lom), in the DPRD. So I said yesterday we (the Gerindra Party) are only holding a simple event, no need to bother attending, but I didn’t know earlier Brother Jhonkey (Junaidi) said they were already present by half past eight. This shows that the Gerindra Party and other parties are united in the DPRD. It’s a bit hard to split them, Brother Lom Lom,
