The Asahan Regency Government, together with the Asahan Regency DPD PKB Pujakesuma, distributed emergency aid to communities affected by the disaster in Kuala Simpang District, Aceh Tamiang Regency and Lhokseumawe City.

The aid was dispatched from the Asahan Regency DPD PKB Pujakesuma hall as a rapid response to urgent needs in the affected areas.

The aid sent consisted of basic food supplies, cooking equipment, and usable clothing, transported using two trucks to the disaster locations.

This distribution is focused on helping to meet the basic needs of the displaced persons, including children and university students from Asahan Regency who are in the affected areas, estimated to number around 500 people.

The Vice Regent of Asahan, who also serves as the Chairman of the Asahan Regency DPD Pujakesuma, stated that this aid delivery is a manifestation of the shared concern of the local government, community organizations, and the people of Asahan Regency for their fellow citizens facing disaster.

He said the presence of aid during an emergency is expected to help alleviate the burden on the displaced. Through this humanitarian action, the Vice Regent emphasized that concern for others is a fundamental value that must be continually upheld, especially in disaster situations.

The presence of this aid is not only seen as logistical support but also as a form of empathy, solidarity, and moral responsibility to strengthen each other between regions, so that survivors feel they are not alone in facing difficult times and the recovery process can proceed more smoothly.

Asahan Regency

Lhokseumawe City

Lhokseumawe is a coastal city in Aceh, Indonesia, historically known as a significant port and trade center.
