Jakarta – Babelan Police uncovered a case of distributing Class G drugs targeting a housing complex in the Pondok Ungu Permai area, Bahagia Village, Babelan District, Bekasi Regency, West Java. One suspect was arrested.
On Sunday (17/5/2026), Babelan Police Chief Commissioner Wito stated that the case was uncovered after officers received public information regarding the distribution of Hexymer, a Class G drug.
“Officers immediately conducted an observation in the housing area and successfully apprehended a man with the initials SAY on suspicion of selling hard drugs without a permit,” Wito said in Cikarang on Saturday (16/5).
During a search, police found hundreds of hard drug pills allegedly intended for sale to buyers who came directly to the crime scene.
Police secured evidence including 674 yellow Hexymer tablets, eight Tramadol pills in silver strip packaging, 590,000 Indonesian Rupiah in cash, a mobile phone, a motorcycle, and two small empty clear plastic clip bags.
The suspect and all evidence have been taken to Babelan Police Station for further investigation and inquiry.
The case is being processed under alleged violations of Article 435 in conjunction with Article 138 paragraph (2) and/or Article 436 paragraph (2) of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health.
Investigators are still completing administrative procedures, examining witnesses and the suspect, coordinating with the National Agency of Drug and Food Control for laboratory tests, and coordinating with the Public Prosecutor of the Bekasi Regency Prosecutor’s Office for further legal proceedings.
Wito urged the public not to misuse or trade hard drugs without a permit, as it endangers public safety and health and carries criminal legal consequences.
Bekasi Metro Police also invited all levels of society to actively contribute information if they become aware of suspected criminal acts or legal violations in their surroundings.
