TMC Leaders Arrested: The crackdown on Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders in West Bengal shows no signs of stopping. While large-scale investigations into coal, sand, and soil theft continue across the state, a bizarre case of theft has emerged from East Burdwan that has left everyone astonished. Police have arrested two local TMC leaders red-handed for stealing and misappropriating government-issued buckets.

According to information, this shameful incident took place in the Kalna area, where government buckets were provided by the panchayat for free distribution to the public for household waste collection. It is alleged that TMC leaders Ravi Kiskku and Becha Hazara were tempted by these buckets. Instead of distributing them to poor beneficiaries, they secretly took possession of them and hid them. After receiving a complaint, Kalna police acted swiftly and arrested both TMC leaders. Not only that, but based on the accused’s leads, police also recovered a large quantity of stolen government buckets from their hideouts.

    Leaders’ Defense

After the arrest, while being taken to the Kalna subdivisional court for a hearing, the two accused leaders gave a strange defense in front of media cameras. The leaders claimed they were not stealing the buckets but distributing them. However, due to elections and the code of conduct or other reasons, the distribution process was left incomplete, and the buckets remained with them. However, police are not willing to accept this theory.

    Setback for TMC in Kolkata

Difficulties for TMC in Bengal are not limited to bucket theft. The party has also suffered a major setback in the capital city of Kolkata. While bucket-thief leaders were being caught in Burdwan, a large CID team raided the residence of TMC heavyweight and former mayor Firhad Hakim in Kolkata. The CID team arrived at Hakim’s home for questioning and a search in connection with an alleged ‘signature forgery’ case. The same day, the CID raid on a top leader and the arrest of leaders for bucket theft at the grassroots level have increased the troubles for TMC.
