From September 11th, “Night Time Visitor Center 2025” is being held at Zou-no-Hana Terrace (1 Kaigandori, Naka-ku, Yokohama).

In the format of “Snack Zou-no-Hana,” where artists become the shopkeeper (mama or master) and engage in direct conversation with visitors while having drinks, a total of 12 artists are gathering on a rotating daily basis.

Participating artists include Naoko Inoue, Shuhei Okawara, orangcosong (Minori Sumiyoshayama + Chikara Fujiwara), Izumi Kasagi, Akira Samejima, Daisuke Sawai, Sennyo, Muneyu Tokunaga, Masao Naito, Mai Nagumo, and Mac Romance (titles omitted).

In Izumi Kasagi’s “Izumi Mama’s ‘I Won’t Solve Your Problems’,” Kasagi, who won the prestigious “Kishida Kunio Drama Award” (often called the Akutagawa Prize of the theater world) this year, listens to customers’ troubles as the mama. She invites visitors by saying, “Please tell me your worries. Let’s think together and, through cooperation, find a fun solution,” while laughing and adding, “but I won’t solve them.” She notes, “It might just feel better to talk. Let’s join forces and make it a gentle, enjoyable night.”

Young So’s “Snack Fence” also appears, which crosses graphic design and contemporary art. This snack bar is made by reconfiguring construction fences; visitors can freely enter the space typically used to separate areas, and enjoy drinks and conversation inside.

This event is the 32nd edition and is specially open to coincide with the international art fair “Tokyo Gendai” being held at Pacifico Yokohama.

From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Zou-no-Hana Cafe also hosts a happy hour (a set of 3 drinks for ¥1,000). Drinks include draft beer, highball, oolong highball, and soft drinks.

Operating hours are from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Admission is free.
