The Cisadane Warriors are back in action! After a four-day break following the match against Semen Padang, Persita Tangerang’s players have resumed training.
Focus is now fully on the upcoming 9th week of the 2025/26 BRI Super League, where PSIM Yogyakarta will come to challenge at Indomilk Arena on Friday, October 17, 2025.
This is not just an ordinary match; it’s a golden opportunity for Persita to secure full points at home and improve their position in the standings.
Fit Condition, Training Intensity Increases
Persita’s coach confirmed that his players are in excellent condition. The short four-day break was used optimally for recovery, and now training intensity has been increased again, both on the field and in the fitness center.
“The players’ condition is good. Our rest period won’t be as long as other teams, so I think we’ll be truly ready for the next match,” said the coach optimistically.
According to him, this physical readiness is absolutely necessary because PSIM is not an opponent to be taken lightly. “They may be a newly promoted team, but they have many experienced players in Indonesian football,” he said.
Beware of Laskar Mataram, The Away Kings at Season Start
The coach reminded the Warriors not to be dazzled by PSIM’s status as a promoted team. Data shows that Laskar Mataram has performed exceptionally well at the start of the season, even occupying third place in the temporary standings.
“They have recruited good foreign players and experienced local players. Most importantly, they have played 4 away matches so far and earned 10 points (3 wins and 1 draw). They play very well in away matches,” emphasized the coach, giving a strong warning.
This match is certain to be a very difficult battle, testing Persita’s mentality and strategy at their home ground.
Manahan 2012 Nostalgia and The Coach’s Spiritual Call
The last meeting between the two teams occurred back in 2012, where Persita narrowly won 1-0 over PSIM in the Premier Division Semifinal. That victory, scored by Leo Veron, remains a sweet memory worth repeating this week.
However, this time the coach isn’t relying solely on skill and strategy on the field. He knows well who the true difference-maker will be in this intense match: The Persita Fans’ support.
“Details will make the difference in this match, and I think one of those details is the support from the Persita Fans. I hope they can come in large numbers to support and help us in this difficult match,” exclaimed the coach.
