Residents passing through the access area to Depok Terminal can now enjoy a more comfortable road after the Depok City Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (DPUPR) completed repairs at that location.
Repairs were made in response to public complaints regarding numerous potholes on that road section, which previously hindered vehicle flow, especially public transportation. Using the hotmix patching method, the DPUPR team successfully completed the work in just one day.
The maintenance activity was carried out on Monday by deploying 12 personnel from the Task Force Unit.
“We finished the repairs yesterday. The work was done using the maintenance budget, and thankfully it was completed in one day,” the official stated.
It was added that the repair is temporary, as the road ownership in that area still belongs to a private party. Nevertheless, the road condition is now much better and can be safely used again.
“The hotmix asphalt used hardens quickly, so the public can use it immediately. We hope residents will help maintain these repair results to make them more durable,” they added.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Region Task Force Coordinator explained that the team patched approximately 15 spots on the road that were damaged.
“The repair process involved one team of 12 personnel, using a baby roller heavy equipment, and one dump truck of hotmix. The road is now smooth again and can be used as before,” they stated.
With the completion of this work, local residents and terminal users can now enjoy road access that is more comfortable, safe, and smooth.
