Depok – A wife was abused by her husband for refusing to lend him a motorcycle in Limo, Grogol. The victim reported the abuse to the police.

Officers from the Cinere Police Station responded quickly to a public complaint through the 110 call center. Personnel immediately went to the crime scene regarding a report of alleged domestic violence in the Pulo Mangga II area, Grogol Village, Limo District, Depok City, on Saturday (23/5/2026).

“The report was filed by the victim, a woman with the initials LA, who reported her own husband, with the initials H,” said the Cinere Police Chief in a statement on Sunday (24/5).

The chronology shows that the two initially fought over the motorcycle keys. Based on the initial examination and crime scene analysis, the domestic conflict was triggered by a trivial issue that escalated into physical violence.

“It was found that the alleged perpetrator (H) had only been back home for 3 days, after previously leaving and not returning for 3 consecutive months,” he explained.

The perpetrator intended to leave using the victim’s motorcycle. However, the victim did not give permission or the keys to the perpetrator.

“The victim’s refusal sparked the perpetrator’s anger, leading to a quarrel and a struggle over the motorcycle keys,” he said.

As a result of the altercation, the victim suffered scratch wounds on two fingers of her left hand.

“After being calmed down and given guidance by the officer at the scene, the victim decided to pursue legal action against her husband’s actions,” he said.

This alleged domestic violence case has now been transferred and officially reported to the Women and Children Service Unit of the Depok Metro Police for further investigation and handling.
