BEKASI CITY – The President Director of PT Mitra Patriot (PTMP) explained that MSME business operators who will rent containers at the Kalimalang water tourism site will receive various subsidies. MSME traders are estimated to only need to pay around Rp30 million per year.
The base rental price for a container for MSMEs is set at Rp50 million per year. PTMP, as the manager, will provide a Rp10 million discount, reducing the rental cost to Rp40 million.
“For MSMEs, we provide a Rp10 million subsidy so the rental price becomes Rp40 million,” he said.
Furthermore, the Bekasi City Government will add a Rp5 million subsidy, bringing the rental cost down to Rp35 million per year. There is even a possibility of additional support from beverage sponsors who wish to market their products at the tourism location.
“There are beverage sponsors willing to do branding on the containers and provide an additional subsidy of around Rp5–10 million,” he added.
With this layered subsidy scheme, he estimates MSMEs will only need to pay around Rp30 million per year, or Rp2.5 million per month. Calculated daily, the rental cost is less than Rp100 thousand.
“Less than Rp100 thousand per day. I think this is quite affordable, especially for selling in a tourism area,” he explained.
He is optimistic that the income for MSMEs at the Kalimalang culinary tourism site will be greater than selling on the roadside, which is often burdened by illegal levies of up to Rp75 thousand–Rp100 thousand per day.
“If it’s official and costs less than Rp100 thousand per day, I think it’s already commensurate. Moreover, this official income can also increase Local Revenue,” he said.
However, he emphasized that the rental value is still in the discussion stage with the Bekasi City Government and is not yet final.
“Regarding the rental value, it is still not binding as it is still being discussed together with the Bekasi City Government,” he stated.
Apart from pricing, PTMP is also preparing a comprehensive control system to ensure all culinary businesses in the area follow quality standards, food safety, and regulatory compliance. Periodic monitoring, food safety training, and standard operational guidelines will be implemented.
PTMP is also preparing collaboration and mentoring programs, such as workshops, partnerships with local brands, and specialized product development.
“We are not only providing business space but are also committed to enhancing the capacity of entrepreneurs,” he elaborated.
“Through close cooperation, the Kalimalang container culinary tourism is expected to become an example of business area development that benefits all parties and contributes positively to the progress of Bekasi City,” he concluded.
