A man with the initials N (47) was arrested by the police after being found to have committed an act against a boy. N is now in police custody.
The alleged sexual abuse incident by N occurred on Saturday (5/23). This incident took place in Bojong Koneng Hamlet, Telaga Murni Village, West Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, West Java.
“The incident is alleged to have occurred on Saturday, May 23, 2026, in Bojong Koneng Hamlet, Telaga Murni Village, West Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency,” a statement said.
The case came to light after a report was filed by the complainant on Tuesday (6/2). The report was immediately followed up by the PPA Unit of the Bekasi Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
“The complainant then reported the incident after receiving information from the victim’s family and confirming directly with the victim, who then disclosed the alleged indecent acts they had experienced,” the statement said.
Following up on the report, investigators immediately took a series of actions. This included clarifying with several witnesses and the victim, conducting a medical examination with a forensic report, and holding a case review.
“From the initial investigation, indications were found that strengthened the case, so it was escalated to the investigation stage,” the statement explained.
A pursuit was immediately carried out to secure the suspect. The day after the report was received, the suspect was successfully arrested.
“On June 3, 2026, at around 4:00 PM Western Indonesia Time, investigators arrested the individual,” the statement said.
Currently, the suspect is in custody. The case file process is underway so that the suspect can be held accountable for his actions as soon as possible.
“The case has been handled by the PPA Unit of the Bekasi Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit. The case is now in the investigation stage with the suspect secured and detained for further legal proceedings,” the statement concluded.
