Investigators from the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General’s Office have named the former Head of the Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, as a suspect in an alleged corruption case on Wednesday (3/6/2026). Dadan became a suspect less than 24 hours after being removed from his position by President Prabowo Subianto.

Dadan was transported using a detention vehicle around 5:12 PM local time. He exited the Round Building wearing the distinctive detainee vest of the Attorney General’s Office. He is a suspect in an alleged corruption case involving the buying and selling of locations for the construction of Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG).

No comments came from Dadan as he was led by investigators from the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes. He remained completely silent while walking away from the Round Building. Previously, the Attorney General’s Office had conducted a search at the BGN office in the Kebon Sirih area, Central Jakarta.

According to an internal source at the Attorney General’s Office who requested anonymity, the search was conducted based on findings of alleged buying and selling of SPPG locations. In fact, SPPG locations were never traded at all. Registration to establish an SPPG was done openly and free of charge.

“It seems those were the findings there,” the internal source revealed.

When confirmed by the media, the Acting Head of the Legal Information Center at the Attorney General’s Office, Mochamad Jeffry, stated that the search was conducted to gather evidence related to the case handling.

“Investigators from the Special Crimes division of the Attorney General’s Office did conduct a search at the BGN office,” said Mochamad Jeffry.

However, Jeffry has not yet clearly disclosed the specific case being handled by the Attorney General’s Office regarding the search. It is highly likely that the case involves alleged corruption. Recently, BGN has been in the public spotlight.

Not only due to the announced change in leadership, but also because of information that circulated regarding a hand-catching operation against BGN officials. Additionally, several BGN policies have often been criticized for allegedly wasting the budget.

Previously reported, President Prabowo Subianto decided to replace Dadan Hindayana and two deputy heads, Lodewyk Pusung and Sonny Sanjaya.

Pengadaan BGN Ternyata Dikorupsi Dadan Hindayana dkk

Netizens’ instincts were not wrong. Having gone viral for seeming unreasonable, several procurements by the Nutrition Agency (BGN) were scrutinized. The Attorney General’s Office announced that the procurement of electric motorcycles, tablets, shoes, and televisions was allegedly corrupted by former Head of BGN, Dadan Hindayana, along with his deputies, Lodewyk Pusung and Sony Sonjaya.

This finding was revealed by the Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Syarief Sulaiman Nahdi.

He stated that the alleged corruption case at BGN relates to irregularities in budget management for implementing the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program in 2025-2026.

Based on the results of investigations conducted by the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Dadan, together with Lodewyk and Sony, is suspected of committing graft in the procurement of goods and services at BGN.

This was accompanied by alleged corruption in the use of the MBG budget through fake foundations affiliated with Dadan, Lodewyk, and Sony.

“Mr. DH (Dadan), together with Mr. SS (Sony) and Mr. LP (Lodewyk), acted against the law in the procurement process for both goods and services at BGN,” said Syarief to the media on Wednesday (3/6/2026).

This statement was made by Syarief after announcing Dadan, Lodewyk, and Sony as suspects. Not only manipulating the MBG budget
