The race for the 2025/2026 season championship title is heating up. The competition is now narrowing down to the top three teams: Persib Bandung, Borneo FC, and Persija Jakarta.

Persib Bandung currently leads the provisional standings with 64 points. The team is four points ahead of Borneo FC and nine points ahead of Persija Jakarta.

Despite being in the leading position, Persib Bandung is not in a completely safe situation. With seven matches remaining, every game is crucial in determining the fate of Maung Bandung in the title race.

On paper, Persib Bandung faces tougher challenges compared to its two rivals. Persib Bandung still has to face several strong teams such as Persija Jakarta, Arema FC, Bhayangkara FC, PSM Makassar, PSIM Yogyakarta, and Dewa United.

Not only that, Persijap Jepara also has the potential to be a stumbling block for Persib Bandung. That team is certain to give their all to avoid the threat of relegation.

On the other hand, Borneo FC also has a challenging schedule. They will face PSM Makassar, Persita Tangerang, Bali United, and Malut United.

Meanwhile, Persija Jakarta has a relatively lighter schedule. However, the match against Persib Bandung is predicted to be decisive in this season’s championship race.

Persib Bandung coach Bojan Hodak emphasized that there are no easy matches in this season’s competition. He believes all teams have the potential to defeat each other, regardless of their position in the standings.

“In my opinion, all matches are difficult. In this league, there is no team that can be called easy. All teams can beat each other,” said Bojan Hodak.

Bojan Hodak also gave examples of how lower-ranked teams are capable of causing upsets when facing big teams. This proves that Persib Bandung must not be complacent in every match.

“Even teams from the bottom can beat teams at the top. So every team has tough matches, and we must focus on one match at a time,” said Bojan Hodak.

Given this situation, consistency and focus are key for Persib Bandung to maintain their chance of winning the championship title until the end of the season.
