Medan. The North Sumatra Regional Police have stopped the investigation into a report of alleged embezzlement of Rp 2 billion, previously filed by David Gordon Sigalingging against the Chairman of GAMKI Medan, Boydo HK Panjaitan.

The termination of the investigation is stated in the Investigation Termination Decree Number: S.Tap/Henti.Lidik/303.b/V/RES.1.11./2026/Ditreskrimum dated May 16, 2026.

Boydo HK Panjaitan’s legal counsel from YTRP Law Office, Yosua TR. Panjaitan, said they had received the investigation termination letter after investigators from the North Sumatra Police Directorate of General Criminal Investigation conducted a series of investigations and case reviews.

“This case is officially closed because Boydo is indeed not guilty. We received the letter dated May 16, 2026,” said Yosua, accompanied by Charli Sihombing and Vebriany Florentina Segala, on Wednesday (June 3, 2026).

According to Yosua, the results of the case review concluded that no criminal elements were found as reported by the complainant in the case recorded under Police Report Number: LP/B/1459/XII/2023/SPKT North Sumatra Police dated December 4, 2023.

“Based on the investigation results, the accusations against our client are not legally proven. Therefore, the honor, dignity, and good name of our client must be restored as appropriate,” he said.

Previously, Boydo HK Panjaitan was reported in connection with the alleged embezzlement of Rp 2 billion. However, after an investigation, the investigators decided to stop the case because no criminal elements were found.

Separately, through his legal counsel Gerald Partogi Siahaan, Boydo also filed a counter-report against David Gordon Sigalingging to the North Sumatra Police on March 16, 2026, for alleged defamation.

According to Gerald, the report was submitted as an effort to restore his client’s good name, who had been accused of embezzlement.

“This is to restore our client’s good name,” he said.

Gerald emphasized that Boydo never enjoyed the money as accused by the complainant. According to him, the accusation has impacted the personal good name, family, and the organization led by Boydo.

“This action has killed the character, including the good name of the family and the organization attached to him,” Gerald concluded.
