Aiming for Victory, Persib Prepares Thoroughly to Face Borneo
Bandung –
Persib Bandung will face Borneo FC in the fourth week of the 2025/2026 Super League. According to the schedule, the Persib vs Borneo FC match will be held at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA) on Sunday night.
Borneo will be a tough opponent for Persib. The team nicknamed ‘Pesut Etam’ is the only team to achieve a perfect result in the first three matches of this season’s Super League and currently occupies the top position in the standings with 9 points.
Persib coach Bojan Hodak stated that his team has made thorough preparations. He sees positive progress compared to previous matches, although there are still areas that need improvement.
“Preparations are going well, there will be some changes and in the previous match, especially in defense, we were more or less good,” said Bojan.
“I don’t remember which of their chances. Our attack could create opportunities, take shots but only one resulted in a goal and that’s the evaluation,” he continued.
Regarding player condition, the Croatian coach sees the performance of the Maung Bandung squad beginning to show improvement. Therefore, he targets that in the upcoming match against Borneo, Persib must get 3 points.
“But as I said, we were unlucky because we didn’t score two goals from penalties. But our overall game has improved and we are ready to face Borneo to get three points,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bojan also confirmed that Persib’s foreign player, Frans Putros, will still be able to play against Borneo even though he has received a call to represent the Iraqi National Team.
“He will still play because this is after facing Borneo,” Bojan emphasized.
