The Education Office of West Bandung Regency has confirmed that Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM) were not affected by the incident related to the MBG menu.
As is known, hundreds of elementary, junior high, and high school students or equivalent in Cipongkor District, West Bandung Regency, were affected by the incident related to the MBG menu.
The Acting Head of the West Bandung Regency Education Office, stated that teaching and learning activities for students in the affected area are still running normally.
“Learning activities continue as usual for students who were not victims of poisoning,” he said when confirmed.
He added that previously there was a plan to temporarily suspend learning activities at the schools that were the locations of the incident.
“We initially planned to suspend classes yesterday. But it did not happen, and learning continued as usual,” he said.
Furthermore, he stated that students who are still in the recovery period are being given dispensation to not attend learning activities at school.
“Some students still need to have their health checked at the post because some are still weak and so on,” he said.
He emphasized that, for now, the learning process will not impose any burden on the poisoning victims. This is to speed up the recovery process.
“The most important thing is the health of the students so they can recover as soon as possible,” he concluded.
