BIS raids in Vijayawada, counterfeit ISI products seized.
Hyderabad, Officials from the Bureau of Indian Standards raided two commercial establishments in Vijayawada’s NTR district and seized a large quantity of products illegally manufactured with ISI marking without a BIS license.
According to the press release, BIS officials raided Ghanshyam Aluminium and Ramdev Industries in the Surampalli industrial area of Vijayawada. Both establishments were producing pressure cookers, cooker bodies, cooker lids, etc., with ISI marking without any BIS license.

During the raid, officials seized 478 pressure cookers, 418 cooker bodies, and 100 lids from Ramdev Industries. Similarly, 9,000 various types of pressure cooker parts were seized from Ghanshyam Aluminium. Cases were registered against both under sections 17 and 29(3) of the BIS Act. The Director of BIS (Vijayawada) provided information about the raid through a press release.
