Hyderabad, The Task Force police of Secunderabad Zone, in a joint operation with Osmania University police, arrested three suspects involved in snatch thefts while moving around on motorcycles.

Addressing a press conference, Task Force Police Deputy Commissioner Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath stated that based on a complaint received, Task Force Inspector J. Rajasekhar and Osmania University Inspector M. Mahesh arrested the three suspects. The arrested suspects include Pulipati Hemant Kumar alias Nanu (25), a flower decoration worker from Patel Nagar, Amberpet; Palle Deepak (20), an internet worker from Ramantapur; and Shankuria (20), a private employee from Ramantapur. In addition to these three, Kandukuru Rama Chari (32), a goldsmith from Bhagat Singh Nagar, who purchased stolen property from them, was also arrested.

Gold, bikes, and mobile phones recovered from suspects

A 35.03-gram gold chain, a Honda Unicorn bike, a Pulsar bike, and two cell phones were seized from the suspects. They stated that on April 17, Hemant, Deepak, and Shankuria set out from Amberpet on two motorcycles. Hemant and Shankuria were on one motorcycle, while Deepak was on the other. The trio snatched a gold chain from the neck of a woman near Karur Vysya Bank Street No. 4, Habshiguda, and fled.

Based on the complaint received, police identified and arrested the suspects using CCTV camera footage from the scene. They stated that eight criminal cases are registered against Hemant at Amberpet, Uppal, Saroornagar, Kacheguda, and Nalgonda One Town police stations. Seven criminal cases are registered against Deepak at Mangalhat, Chaitanyapuri, Kukatpally, and Uppal police stations. One criminal case is registered against Shankuria at Uppal police station. All three suspects have also previously committed domestic burglaries. Cases were registered against the arrested suspects, and they were produced in court and sent to judicial custody.
