“I heard Hubei is accelerating its development as a pivotal hub with great growth potential, so I specially took the train from Xinxiang, Henan to attend today’s recruitment fair!”

On October 21st, the “Gathering Talents in Chu·Building the Pivot Point” 2025 Hubei Province Postdoctoral and Doctoral Talent Recruitment Special Event in Beijing was held as scheduled. At the recruitment event, Dr. Xiao Aibo from Pakistan, who graduated from the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, told the staff.

Dr. Xiao Aibo is 35 years old. After completing his doctorate, he conducted postdoctoral research at the School of Life Sciences of Henan Normal University and completed his postdoctoral position one month ago.

“I have many Pakistani friends developing their careers in Wuhan, and they are very satisfied with both their work and life.” During the recruitment event, Dr. Xiao Aibo had productive conversations with recruitment representatives from Huazhong Agricultural University, Yangtze University, Hubei University of Technology, Institute of Hydrobiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and other institutions. He left his resume and scheduled follow-up communications in the near future.

On that day, 42 universities, research institutions, and key enterprises from Hubei offered over 4,000 high-quality positions covering key fields such as information technology, intelligent manufacturing, biomedicine, and new materials. The event attracted 456 postdoctoral researchers and doctoral candidates from institutions including Tsinghua University and Peking University, as well as job seekers who traveled specifically from other regions. The participating organizations received 543 resumes, and 203 postdoctoral researchers and doctoral candidates reached preliminary employment intentions with employers on site.

“Hubei, known for its abundance of talent, is more eager for talent than at any other time in history and better positioned to help talent achieve success. We sincerely invite you to join Hubei and share in the development opportunities.” At the event, the head of the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security extended a genuine invitation.

“In Hubei, I’ve gained not only research breakthroughs and career growth but also a sense of belonging, respect, and support.” Dr. Song Biao, who graduated from Peking Union Medical College (Tsinghua University Medical School), shared his personal experience of developing his career in Hubei. He joined the postdoctoral workstation at Wuhan Tongji Hospital last year to conduct research and has been selected for Hubei Province’s Postdoctoral Top Talent Introduction Project and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation General Project.

Changjiang Design Group Co., Ltd. aimed to recruit 11 postdoctoral researchers and 97 technicians with master’s or doctoral degrees for this event. The company’s recruitment representative stated that they offer competitive salaries for doctoral and postdoctoral personnel, along with “seven insurances and two funds” and various welfare subsidies.

“From the salary packages offered by the various recruitment units, you can clearly feel Hubei’s determination to value, retain, and utilize talent.” Zhang Yapeng, a doctoral candidate at Beijing Institute of Technology who will graduate next year, came to the event looking for research positions in the biochemical engineering field, hoping to achieve mutual growth between his personal development and Hubei’s progress.

Hubei has always regarded talent as its primary resource. This year, it launched the “Ten, Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand” Strategic Talent Strength Action, planning to cultivate and introduce 10 strategic scientists, 100 leading technological talents, 1,000 outstanding engineers, and 10,000 outstanding young scientific and technological talents within 3 to 5 years. The implementation of the “Postdoctoral Doubling Plan” provides a comprehensive funding system covering pre-station introduction, in-station cultivation, and post-station tracking for postdoctoral talent, with maximum individual funding reaching 1.5 million yuan.

Since its launch in March this year, the “Gathering Talents in Chu·Building the Pivot Point” talent recruitment series has visited Shanghai, Nanjing, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and Beijing, continuously generating
