Tangerang Regent Moch Maesyal Rasyid gathered religious figures, scholars, and kiais in a coordination meeting to discuss the current state of the nation and the country, particularly the situation in the Tangerang Regency area.

On this occasion, the Tangerang Regent expressed appreciation to the parties who continue to maintain conducive conditions in the region.

“Alhamdulillah, until today Tangerang Regency remains safe, orderly, and conducive. This is certainly thanks to the role of the kiais, religious figures, community leaders, mass organizations, and all components in the region,” he stated in the Wareng Meeting Room, Tangerang Regent’s Building.

He instructed all sub-district heads to immediately coordinate with the Muspika (District Leadership Coordination Forum), the heads of the sub-district MUI (Indonesian Ulema Council), the National Police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces, youth leaders, and mass organizations to maintain stability in their respective areas.

According to him, meetings at the sub-district level have been widely held and have yielded positive testimonials from local religious figures.

The Tangerang Regency Government also plans to hold a joint prayer through an Istighosah event, which is scheduled to take place next Friday.

“We ask for suggestions from the scholars and religious figures. The main point is that we want to pray together for the safety and conducive conditions of Tangerang Regency and the Indonesian nation,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Tangerang Regency MUI, KH Ues Nawawi, stated that the steps taken by the Tangerang Regency Government were very appropriate in maintaining communication with religious figures.

He also proposed that the joint prayer be held at Al-Amjad Mosque, involving the wider community and the civil servants of Tangerang Regency.

“We must face the condition of this nation with prayer, effort, and togetherness. We support the Regent’s idea to hold an Istighosah. May this be the best effort to keep Tangerang Regency safe, peaceful, and free from unwanted things,” he said.

The meeting, which took place in a very cordial atmosphere, also served as a forum for the exchange of opinions and suggestions from religious figures in responding to national developments, while strengthening the joint commitment to maintain unity and tranquility in Tangerang Regency.
