The Police Professional and Security Division (Propam Polri) along with Propam Brimob have secured seven Brimob members involved in an incident where an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) was hit and killed in Central Jakarta.
The Head of Propam Polri stated that the perpetrators are currently undergoing a joint investigation.
“So at this time I need to convey that the perpetrators have been secured. There are 7 perpetrators,” he said during a press conference at RSCM, Jakarta.
He added that because the perpetrators are from the Brimob unit, the investigation is being conducted jointly by Propam Mabes Polri and Propam Brimob.
“Of course, at this time the perpetrators have been secured and are currently in the process of a joint investigation by Propam Polri and Brimob because the perpetrators are from the Brimob unit,” he explained.
The seven secured Brimob members include Kompol CB, Aipda M, Bripka R, Briptu G, Bripda M, Bharaka Y, and Bharaka G.
He continued, stating that the legal process is still ongoing. He emphasized that they will investigate the involvement of each member in the incident that killed Affan Kurniawan, the 21-year-old online motorcycle taxi driver.
