TANGERANGNEWS.com- The governments of Tangerang City, South Tangerang City, and Tangerang Regency have confirmed that teaching and learning activities will not be disrupted, despite a recent tense security situation following demonstrations in several regions, particularly Jakarta.
In response to these conditions, the government has instructed strict supervision in school environments to prevent students from participating in follow-up actions that are rumored to be held on Monday, September 1, 2025.
Regarding information about plans for Distance Learning (PJJ), the Deputy Regent of Tangerang only asked schools to be more active in monitoring.
“Teaching and learning activities will proceed as usual. Later, each educational unit will monitor its school activities. This is to ensure our students do not participate in activities that could be harmful and disrupt public order,” she said.
In addition, she also advised the public to prioritize peaceful methods when expressing opinions.
“For student groups, activists, and community groups, please convey your aspirations. Do not be anarchic; do not damage public facilities,” she stated.
Similarly, the Head of the South Tangerang Education Office dismissed rumors about the implementation of PJJ due to protest actions. “It is still normal; there is no PJJ,” he asserted.
Meanwhile, in Tangerang City, the Secretary of the Education Office added that schools are asked to make adjustments if necessary, but there has been no official decision regarding PJJ.
“Officially, (the PJJ process) has not been implemented, but we urge schools to be able to adapt to the current situation in their respective areas,” he explained.
