TANGSEL CITY – The Sawah Baru Village Office in Ciputat District has completed its revitalization, now appearing modern and elegant. The project is currently moving to the interior enhancement phase.

The Secretary of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (DCKTR) of South Tangerang City stated that the revitalization of the Sawah Baru Village Office was carried out last year, transforming the old building into a three-story structure with a land area of 847 square meters and a total building area of 672 square meters. The goal of the revitalization is to improve public services and government administration. “The structural construction was 100% completed last year in 2024, and this year, the interior upgrades are underway,” they said during a meeting at their office in Lengkong Wetan, Serpong District.

They further explained that the development of the village office aims to advance facilities and infrastructure, as the village office is the frontline of public service for the community. The office is responsible for providing various administrative services, community empowerment, and maintaining public order and security.

The building structure consists of three floors. The first floor includes service areas, a lactation room, and section head offices. The second floor houses the village secretary’s office, treasurer’s office, village head’s office, section head offices, and a meeting room. The third floor features a hall and three organizational rooms. “The building has been occupied by the village office since April 2025,” they added.

Separately, the Head of Sawah Baru Village stated that the revitalization was necessary, as the previous office building was a relic from the Regency era. “Thankfully, the revitalization proceeded on schedule, and services have improved significantly,” they said.

They expressed gratitude to the South Tangerang City Government through DCKTR for the construction of the Sawah Baru Village Office, as it has positively impacted regional services. Public enthusiasm has been high since the completion of the revitalization, with increased comfort due to enhanced facilities. “This new building is very beneficial for us, especially in serving the community. The added facilities, such as a meeting hall and service rooms, make operations much more comfortable,” they emphasized.
