Cilegon – Welcoming the 11th Congress, the ranks of the Central Board (PB) of Al-Khairiyah Cilegon Banten, the Majelis Syuro, the Council of Experts, and the Deputy General Chair declared and recommended support for KH Ali Mujahidin (H Mumu) to continue leading PB Al-Khairiyah for a third term.

The Coordination Meeting of the Majelis Syuro, Council of Experts, and Deputy Leaders of PB Al-Khairiyah was held on May 20, 2026, in Cilegon City.

On that occasion, the Majelis Syuro and Council of Experts of PB Al-Khairiyah jointly and unanimously declared support for H Mumu to return as General Chair of PB Al-Khairiyah for a third term.

This statement was first made by the General Chair of the Majelis Syuro of PB Al-Khairiyah, KH Mansur Muchyidin, during the opening of the coordination meeting, which was attended by the secretary and all members of the Majelis Syuro.

The coordination meeting was also attended by the Chair of the Council of Experts, the Secretary of the Council of Experts, all members of the Council of Experts, and all Deputy General Chairs of PB Al-Khairiyah.

The statement of support for H Mumu to continue leading PB Al-Khairiyah was also conveyed by the Chair of the Majelis Syuro and Deputy Chair of the Council of Experts of PB Al-Khairiyah, Prof. Dr. KH Zakaria Syafei.

On that occasion, Prof. Zakaria also provided advice and counsel, including that although support flows to H Mumu to continue leading PB Al-Khairiyah, the democratic process “Wasawwirhum syuro bainahum” (consultation among the leadership) must still be properly followed.

Advice and support were also conveyed by the Secretary of the Council of Experts of PB Al-Khairiyah, Dr. HC Mahfud Salimi, and reinforced by other members of the Council of Experts, including Prof. Dr. H Mufti Ali, before being concluded by the Chair of the Council of Experts, Prof. Dr. KH Amin Suma, with the same advice.

Prof. Amin Suma also suggested that the 11th Congress of PB Al-Khairiyah invite the President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, and advised that the Committee and Central Board first conduct a visit to seek permission and blessings from the Governor of Banten Province.

Meanwhile, the Secretary General, Dr. Ahmad Munji, explained that the 11th Congress of PB Al-Khairiyah will be held in October 2026, with the Organizing Committee chaired by Dr. Rafiudin (Rector of Unival) and the Steering Committee chaired by Ahmad Trias Sundoro, while the Organizing Committee Chair is Dr. Sayuti and the Secretary is H Juju Adiwikarta.

The Secretary General of PB Al-Khairiyah explained that support for H Mumu to lead PB Al-Khairiyah for a third term was fully conveyed during the Coordination Meeting of the Syuro Council, Council of Experts, and Deputy Leaders of PB Al-Khairiyah.

H Mumu is seen as capable of carrying out the mandate of the previous PB Al-Khairiyah Congress well, and the PB Al-Khairiyah Congress, planned for October 2026, is expected to further strengthen the brotherhood and unity of Al-Khairiyah.

Al-Khairiyah is expected to continue increasing its contribution and benefits for the interests of the community, nation, and state through its role as a social and religious organization focusing on education, preaching, and social work.

The 11th Congress of PB Al-Khairiyah itself will be held at the Al-Khairiyah Civilization Campus in Citangkil, Cilegon City, Banten Province, with the theme “Strengthening Faith, Developing Sharia, and Building Morals for Civilization.”

Al-Khairiyah is one of the largest and most influential Islamic organizations in Banten Province. Currently, Al-Khairiyah has 11 Regional Leadership Councils and 24 Area Leadership Councils, as well as 764 branches in the form of educational institutions in various regions of Indonesia.
