On May 28, the 2026 Beijing municipal public institutions held an on-site job fair for individuals with disabilities at the Special Education College of Beijing Union University. At the event, 75 public institutions offered 86 job positions for people with disabilities.
According to the relevant department, since 2023, Beijing has been conducting targeted recruitment for people with disabilities in public institutions. Over the past three years, 135 individuals with disabilities have been successfully hired, including 44 recent college graduates.
This year, recruitment efforts have been further expanded, with 75 public institutions participating and planning to hire 86 people, an increase in both the number of participating institutions and job positions compared to previous years.
The job positions cover a wide range of fields, including comprehensive management, public services, and professional technical roles, catering to job seekers with different specialties and abilities.
On the day of the event, many job seekers with disabilities attended, engaging in face-to-face communication with staff from various employers to learn about job requirements, work content, and qualifications, precisely matching their own job search needs.
The venue also featured three functional areas: career guidance, policy consultation, and service support. An AI assessment system was introduced to provide diverse accessible services such as career evaluation, job guidance, policy explanations, and sign language interpretation. Outstanding representatives with disabilities hired in previous years were invited to share their employment experiences, offering reference and guidance for job seekers.
It is important to note that this on-site job fair only provides job consultation and career guidance services; no on-site resume submissions are accepted. All eligible individuals with disabilities must apply formally via email, with the application period running from May 28 to June 3, 2026.
The relevant department stated that, moving forward, Beijing will continue to advance targeted recruitment for people with disabilities in public institutions, leveraging their exemplary role. At the same time, it will implement a three-year action plan to promote employment for people with disabilities, continuously build high-quality and stable employment platforms, safeguard the legitimate employment rights of people with disabilities, help them realize their professional value, and foster a fair and inclusive social employment environment.
