This year’s Spring Festival Gala put several robots in the spotlight, and the resulting spillover effect led to a significant increase in consumer demand for robots during the holiday period. As the world’s largest electronics trading hub, Shenzhen’s Huaqiangbei became a focal point for “tech-themed New Year goods.”

The “Guangdong Goods Travel the World” Spring Campaign brought a concentrated showcase of AI hardware. Around the Spring Festival, overall sales of tech products in Huaqiangbei grew by over 30% compared to usual days, with sales of AI glasses surging by 70-80%. In January, the “Guangdong Goods Travel the World” Spring Campaign officially launched. Featuring smart home appliances from Zhuhai, hardware and kitchenware from Jieyang, and lighting from Zhongshan, this province-wide initiative allowed more consumers to see, buy, and use Guangdong products.

Various localities launched creative “product promotion” methods. Offline, activities entered department stores, popular tourist spots, and transportation hubs; online, business owners personally hosted live-streaming sales, with hosts explaining products from multiple angles. The online-offline synergy brought Guangdong goods to more people’s attention.

The Spring Festival provided a super-scene for Guangdong goods, bringing considerable consumer traffic.

Quality Guangdong Goods Gain Popularity

“I bought a pot and spoon from Jieyang online before and found the quality excellent. Coming to the event in person allows me to cut out middlemen and deal directly with the company,” expressed a procurement agent from Bangladesh at the “Guangdong Goods Travel the World – Jieyang Quality Products”专场 promotional event.

Just before the Spring Festival, inside a department store near Jieyang’s Jinxian Gate, over 1,500 “Jieyang quality products” from about 150 local companies were集中 exhibited. These covered特色 products like五金 stainless steel, Puning’s textiles and apparel, Jiexi’s food processing, and Jiedong’s jade jewelry.
