The Regent of Asahan, Taufik Zainal Abidin, directly witnessed the slaughter of a cow donated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Al-Huda Grand Mosque, Hamlet II, Sei Alim Hulu Village, Air Batu District, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

The event was also attended by the Vice Regent of Asahan, Rianto, members of the Asahan Regency Regional House of Representatives, elements of the Air Batu District Leadership Coordination Forum, the Chairman of the Al-Huda Grand Mosque Mosque Welfare Board, and local residents.

The Chairman of the Al-Huda Grand Mosque Mosque Welfare Board, Ustaz Subuh Heni Butar-Butar, expressed gratitude and appreciation for the attention given by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, to the people of Air Batu District through the donation of the sacrificial cow.

“We express our deepest thanks to Mr. President Prabowo Subianto for this community assistance. The arrival of this donated cow is a source of pride and happiness for the people of Air Batu District. May such attention continue in the future,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Asahan, Taufik Zainal Abidin, stated that the cow donated by the President is a tangible form of the central government’s care for communities in various regions, including Asahan Regency.

“Alhamdulillah, Asahan Regency, especially Air Batu District, has received the honor of accepting a community assistance cow from the President of the Republic of Indonesia. May this assistance bring blessings, strengthen togetherness, and provide benefits for the community,” he said.

The Regent also urged the committee and the public to maintain order and security during the slaughter process and the distribution of the meat, so that the entire series of activities runs smoothly and in an orderly manner.

He also expressed his thanks to the President of the Republic of Indonesia for his attention and care towards the people of Asahan Regency and hoped that this assistance would be a charitable act and bring blessings to the entire community.

The series of activities began with a speech from the Chairman of the Al-Huda Grand Mosque Mosque Welfare Board, followed by a speech from the Regent of Asahan, and then the slaughter of the cow donated by the President.
