TANGERANGNEWS.com – Satpol PP officers in Tangerang City raided a shop in the Tanah Tinggi Main Market area suspected of being a location for the distribution of alcoholic beverages and prostitution activities.

This operation was carried out on Sunday night, April 19, 2026, until early Monday, April 20, 2026, as a follow-up to public concerns regarding illegal activities disrupting public comfort.

From the operation, the field team managed to secure four individuals strongly suspected of violating local regulations, including a woman suspected of being a commercial sex worker.

“We successfully secured four suspected violators during the enforcement operation of local regulations at the Tanah Tinggi Main Market. This step is a direct response to reports from the community that were submitted to us,” stated the Acting Head of Satpol PP in Tangerang City, Mulyani.

During the sweep, officers not only secured the violators but also found evidence of alcoholic beverages ready for distribution in plastic packaging for immediate consumption.

Additionally, officers dismantled a booth covered with a tarp that contained a wooden bed suspected of being used for prostitution.

Subsequently, the violators were documented, given intensive guidance, and required to sign a statement promising not to repeat their actions before being returned to their families.

According to Mulyani, this enforcement refers to two main regulations in Tangerang City: Regional Regulation No. 8/2005 on the Prohibition of Prostitution and Regional Regulation No. 7/2005 on the Prohibition of the Distribution and Sale of Alcoholic Beverages.

He added that the Tangerang City Government will not stop here. Similar operations will continue to be intensified, targeting other vulnerable points throughout Tangerang City to ensure the environment remains safe, religious, and conducive.

“We will continue to sweep areas considered prone to misuse. The goal is clear: to completely eradicate the distribution of alcohol and prostitution practices in Tangerang City,” he concluded.
