1,362 Criminal Cases Occurred in Tangerang Regency in 2025, Around 207 Uncovered
The Tangerang City Police recorded a total of 1,362 criminal cases throughout the year.
Of that number, only about 207 cases, or 15.2 percent, were solved.
The Head of the Tangerang City Police stated that the number of cases this year decreased by 16.6 percent compared to the total of 1,635 cases in the previous year.
“Approximately 207 cases were successfully solved,” he said.
Despite the decrease, the number of cases that disturb security and threaten public safety remains quite high.
“There were 457 disturbing cases, dominated by aggravated theft with 205 cases, followed by narcotics with 187 cases, and then severe assault with 32 cases.
“These disturbing cases fell by about 12.9 percent from last year’s total of 525 cases,” he added.
Prominent cases within the jurisdiction of the Tangerang City Police include the murder of a car rental boss involving a TNI member on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, a conflict between traditional and online motorcycle taxis at Tigaraka Station.
Then, a child killing their biological father in Mauk, and the discovery of a body in a sack at a banana plantation in Binder Village, Cikupa.
The Police Chief assessed that this achievement serves as material for evaluation and a driving force to improve future performance.
“This achievement serves as evaluation material and a reminder that there are still many challenges we must face going forward,” he concluded.
