Over 3,560 businesses in Dong Nai need to recruit more than 88,000 workers, with over 50% being unskilled labor.

On August 5, the Dong Nai Employment Service Center (under the Dong Nai Department of Home Affairs) reported that businesses in the area need to recruit tens of thousands of workers.

Shortage of tens of thousands of workers

Specifically, from the beginning of 2025 to early August, 3,564 businesses reported a demand to recruit over 88,000 workers, of which more than 50% are for unskilled labor (without training).

Most businesses have not yet filled their labor needs and will require tens of thousands more workers by the end of 2025. Industries with high labor demand include textiles, footwear, woodworking, electronics, etc.

To attract workers, several large employers in Dong Nai, such as Changshin Vietnam Co., Ltd., TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company, and Elite Long Thanh Co., Ltd., have announced the recruitment of thousands of workers with high salaries and attractive benefits.

Due to the need to expand orders, Elite Long Thanh Company (Loc An – Binh Son Industrial Park, Long Thanh commune) is recruiting an additional 1,500 workers with monthly salaries ranging from 7.2 to 15 million VND.

In addition to salaries and 13th-month bonuses, the company offers integration support of up to 4 million VND (for the first 6 months), performance bonuses, holiday bonuses, child support of 260,000 VND per child per month, periodic health check-ups, and support for sickness and family events.

Similarly, Pou Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bau Xeo Industrial Park, An Vien commune) needs to recruit around 4,500 more workers to expand production.

The company is hiring for multiple positions and offers extensive benefits, including full social insurance coverage, support for workers in difficult circumstances, annual salary increases, and promotion opportunities based on performance.

Mobile job exchange platforms to connect supply and demand

According to the Dong Nai Employment Service Center, after consolidation, units have compiled data on labor supply and demand. The results show that labor demand in the former Dong Nai province is significantly higher than in the former Binh Phuoc province. Due to limited supply, businesses in the former Dong Nai province face difficulties in recruiting workers.

To bridge the gap, the Dong Nai Employment Service Center will organize fixed and mobile job exchanges. Businesses will be introduced to remote areas (formerly part of Binh Phuoc province) for recruitment.

Authorities in Dong Nai advise job seekers to contact businesses directly or approach state-managed agencies for free job consultation and placement, avoiding intermediaries.

Over 33,000 workers apply for unemployment benefits

The Dong Nai Employment Service Center also reported that, from the beginning of the year, 33,179 workers have applied for unemployment benefits (a 6.3% decrease compared to the same period in 2024). Of these, 30,400 have been approved for unemployment insurance.

Additionally, 33,552 people received job counseling and placement services, while 126 were supported with vocational training. The total expenditure on unemployment benefits and vocational training support exceeded 992.2 billion VND, a 1.5% increase compared to the same period last year.

Around 30 businesses participated in direct recruitment at the 2025 “Job Fair” organized by the Youth Employment Service Center (YES Center, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union) at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education.
