On the morning of September 2, a military parade and procession will take place at Ba Dinh Square to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This is a major political event, attracting a large number of citizens and tourists.

To ensure public order and traffic safety, the Hanoi City Police advise citizens to voluntarily and strictly comply with the Road Traffic Order and Safety Law, and to follow the instructions and traffic routing provided by authorities.

Citizens who need to travel should proactively choose appropriate routes according to the traffic diversion plan and avoid using personal vehicles to pass through the city center.

For those participating in the commemorative ceremony activities, it is recommended to park vehicles at the free parking points arranged by the ward-level People’s Committees; the use of public transportation is encouraged to reduce traffic pressure and facilitate the successful organization of the events.

Citizens can update and find necessary information on official media channels before participating in the commemorative activities.

The Hanoi City Police strictly prohibit all acts of illegal stopping or parking on sidewalks or roadways that obstruct traffic and pose risks of congestion or accidents. Traffic Police forces will enhance patrols and controls, combined with video recording, to strictly handle and issue penalties for all intentional violations.
