In November 2025, the province was severely affected by Typhoon No. 13 and an exceptionally large-scale flood, causing significant loss of life and property, disrupting production and business activities across many sectors and fields in the area, especially in the eastern region. According to preliminary statistics, the estimated total damage for the entire province is about 10,000 billion VND.
In light of this situation, the province has focused all efforts on restoring economic activities and stabilizing people’s lives.
The historic storm and flood in November severely affected agricultural production, significantly reducing the overall results of the entire sector, with total estimated damage of about 5,500 billion VND.
Additionally, during the month, African Swine Fever developed complexly, emerging in many localities, forcing the culling of 5,022 pigs, causing serious losses for livestock farmers and affecting the food supply.
Furthermore, the storms and floods also significantly impacted industrial production activities, with many factories in the eastern region of the province forced to temporarily suspend production due to widespread flooding and disruptions to electricity and water supply…
However, thanks to factories in the western region of the province maintaining normal operations, the industrial production index for November is estimated to have increased by 7.56%, with the cumulative 11-month figure estimated to have increased by 10.86% compared to the same period last year.
Despite the widespread impact of the storms and floods, the situation of commercial activities, services, and goods circulation in the province remained basically stable, with no shortages of goods; no abnormal phenomena such as speculation, hoarding, or unreasonable price increases were detected. The supply of essential goods such as food, fuel, as well as items serving the needs for electrical, electronic, machinery, equipment, and household appliance repairs continued to be ensured, meeting production and people’s living needs.
The total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue for November are estimated to have reached 17,452 billion VND, up 16.2% year-on-year; the cumulative 11-month figure is estimated at 173,324 billion VND, reaching 95.1% of the plan, up 14.5% year-on-year.
Notably, total export turnover is estimated to have reached 251 million USD, up 43.7% year-on-year; the cumulative 11-month figure is estimated at 2.8 billion USD, reaching 127.3% of the plan, up 41.3% year-on-year.
Regarding tourism, due to the impact of the storms and floods, the number of tourists visiting the province decreased compared to previous months but still increased year-on-year. In November, the entire province is estimated to have welcomed 420,000 visitor arrivals, up 9% year-on-year; the cumulative 11-month figure is estimated at 7 million visitor arrivals, reaching 110.4% of the plan, up 35.07% year-on-year. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 12,941 billion VND, reaching 102.69% of the plan, up 52.02% year-on-year.
Encouragingly, in November, the entire province had 219 newly established enterprises, with a total registered capital of 1,185 billion VND, an increase of 38.6% in the number of enterprises and 4.6% in capital compared to the same period.
