The Ministry of Information concluded the activities of the tenth edition of “Media Oasis,” which was held in partnership with the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, coinciding with the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR25) hosted by the Kingdom.
Over 4 days at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in Riyadh, the Oasis witnessed a wide attendance exceeding 5,000 visitors, including experts and interested parties at both the international and local levels, among them over 2,500 media professionals representing more than 100 media outlets and agencies, confirming the Oasis’s status as a globally prominent media platform.
5 Main Areas
Across 5 main areas, the Oasis offered diverse experiences combining media, technology, and innovation, most notably the “Oasis Exhibition,” which featured interactive pavilions from over 10 partners from the government and private sectors, showcasing their experiences and achievements in line with the Kingdom’s digital Vision 2030, as well as qualitative initiatives and experiences from a number of private sector partners.
In the “Digital Bridge” area, visitors closely observed the journey of technological transformation in the Kingdom over a full century, from 1925 to 2025, documenting important milestones in the national digital development journey, reflecting the qualitative leaps the technology sector has witnessed through its various stages.
During the event, over 150 introductory tours were organized for delegations and guests of the symposium from within the Kingdom and abroad, led by graduates of the “Salam for Cultural Communication” programs in multiple languages, to introduce the Kingdom’s achievements and its pioneering role in media and technology, and to highlight its efforts in promoting global cultural communication.
Rich Media Diversity
The Oasis hosted a number of international and regional media outlets from several countries, including Russia, America, China, India, Egypt, and others, alongside the presence of local media, in a scene reflecting rich media diversity at both the international and local levels, and providing 4 integrated studios.
In addition to the “Oasis Valley,” which included a media center equipped with the latest technologies and live broadcast screens, enabling them to produce news and provide real-time coverage of the symposium, in an experience that combined innovation, speed, and quality.
This edition of “Media Oasis” embodied a qualitative success reflecting the Kingdom’s global standing in the media and communication industry, and strengthening its presence as a leading platform that brings together decision-makers and media professionals from around the world.
