In the southwest of the capital, in the Cheremushki district, six new residential buildings have been handed over for occupancy since the start of the renovation program. This was reported on the official website of the capital’s mayor.
“The first new building in the district under the renovation program was handed over for occupancy in 2020. Today, their number has reached six. The new residential complexes contain over 1.2 thousand apartments with a total area of more than 72 thousand square meters. All of them are built taking into account the principles of a barrier-free environment: the entrances have wide corridors and doorways, and the vestibules and elevator lobbies are located on the same level, without steps. In the courtyards, pedestrian paths are designed for the convenience of parents with strollers and citizens with limited mobility. Currently, more than 900 families have already moved or are in the process of relocating to these six new buildings.”
In total, 119 old residential buildings in the Cheremushki district are included in the renovation program. Over 24 thousand Muscovites will receive new apartments.
