Extensive security campaign to control illegal immigrants in the municipality of Al-Sahel – Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar.
Benghazi – The Office of the Illegal Immigration Control Apparatus in the Al-Sahel – Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar Municipality carried out an extensive security campaign, resulting in the apprehension of nine illegal immigrants of various nationalities, including individuals wanted by the law.
Investigations conducted with them revealed the presence of a person holding Chadian nationality. Photos found on his mobile phone documented him wearing military attire and in possession of a military weapon. This prompted the competent authorities to take additional security measures against him, given the seriousness of the information associated with him.
After completing the initial procedures with the detainees, they were transferred to the Qanfouda shelter center to complete the legal and health procedures in accordance with the regulations governing the handling of illegal immigrants.
The Office of the Illegal Immigration Control Apparatus – Al-Sahel confirmed that security operations continue uninterrupted, through intensifying day and night security patrols, to regulate residency statuses and curb the phenomenon of illegal immigration. This contributes to enhancing security and stability within the municipality and its suburbs, in full coordination with the relevant security and military authorities.

Qanfouda shelter center
The Qanfouda shelter center is a temporary humanitarian facility located in the Gaza Strip, established to provide refuge for Palestinian civilians displaced by conflict. It represents one of many such centers that have been created in response to recurring hostilities in the region, offering basic shelter and aid to families who have lost their homes.
