The Yokohama Local Meteorological Observatory issued a weather advisory regarding thunderstorms and sudden gusts. In Kanagawa Prefecture, the atmospheric conditions are expected to become highly unstable from late morning until late at night, prompting warnings of lightning strikes, tornado-like gusts, and localized heavy rain.

According to the observatory, cold air with temperatures below -6°C is flowing into eastern Japan at an altitude of approximately 5,500 meters. Due to this cold air and rising daytime temperatures, the atmosphere in the prefecture is likely to become extremely unstable from late morning until late at night. If signs of approaching cumulonimbus clouds are observed, people are urged to move indoors and take safety precautions. There is also a risk of hail, requiring caution in managing crops.

The expected maximum temperature for the day is 35°C in Yokohama and 36°C in Odawara. A heatstroke warning alert has also been issued for the seventh consecutive day.
