An exhibition showcasing the costumes of the three-member music unit “Perfume,” titled “Perfume COSTUME MUSEUM FINAL EDITION,” is currently being held at the Sogo Museum of Art (2 Takashima, Nishi Ward, Yokohama).
Perfume made their major debut in 2005. Last September, they announced they would enter a “cold sleep” (indefinite hiatus) after performing at the “76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen” on New Year’s Eve. On January 2nd, the members each posted a photo on their social media of three suitcases lined up. A~chan added the caption “Start of a new journey,” Kashiyuka wrote “The destination is free. So, where do we go now?” and Nocchi wrote “It will be a good journey.”
The exhibition features approximately 160 costumes from music videos and tours, displayed in chronological order from their early days, including outfits from the “BUDOUKaaaaaaaaaaN!!!!!” (2008) and “Right-Angled Isosceles Triangle TOUR” (2009) concerts.
The Yokohama venue marks the concluding display of the nationwide touring “Perfume COSTUME MUSEUM,” branded as the “FINAL EDITION,” and also includes a new section introducing costumes from 2024 and 2025.
The “favorite” costumes chosen by the three members are accompanied by comments that shed light on the thoughts behind their creation and the backstage stories.
During the exhibition period, gallery talks led by the curators in charge will be held inside the exhibition space, explaining highlights and features of the costumes.
Hours are from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Admission is 1,600 yen for adults, among other rates. Gallery talks are scheduled for January 6th and 8th from 2:00 PM. The exhibition runs until January 12th.

The “Yokohama Fire Department New Year’s Ceremony 2026” will be held on January 11th in and around the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Square (1 Shinko, Naka Ward, Yokohama).
This annual New Year’s event is organized by the Yokohama Fire Department and the Yokohama Fire Department New Year’s Ceremony Operating Entity by RF Radio Nippon. It is positioned as “an event where citizens can gather, learn, and enjoy, to feel safety and security close at hand.”
Following an opening ceremony at 11:00 AM, there will be demonstrations of traditional firefighting techniques, drill performances by the city’s fire department band, comprehensive firefighting drills, and simultaneous water discharges. In the afternoon, aerial rescue training, a “PAW Patrol Stage Event,” and a stage event by the “Yokohama Anpanman Children’s Museum” are also planned, creating a program enjoyable for a wide range of generations.
Within the venue, disaster prevention experience booths, a fire brigade plaza, fire vehicle displays, and corporate booths will also be set up.
Collaborative programs with nearby facilities will be implemented. A free shuttle bus will operate connecting the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse and neighboring facilities. Additionally, by presenting the pamphlet distributed on the day, visitors can receive discounts and special offers at nearby shops. Those who complete a stamp rally within the venue will receive a medal, which can be used to participate in a capsule toy giveaway at surrounding facilities for a chance to win novelty items.
The event runs from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and will be held rain or shine.
