The Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education is promoting international exchange initiatives with the aim of fostering global human resources. We are pleased to announce the details of the initiatives for fiscal year 2025 and the planned initiatives for fiscal year 2026.
1. Purpose
To implement international exchange initiatives related to the development of global human resources.
2. Initiative Details
(1) Dispatch
To deepen learning through local experiences, we will collaborate with local educational institutions and embassies to plan unique programs that allow for practical application of school learning.
(2) Study Abroad (New)
As part of enhancing the appeal of metropolitan high schools, we will provide opportunities for all metropolitan high school students to participate in a “three-week” overseas study abroad program, fostering English proficiency, problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and a global challenge spirit that are effective abroad.
(3) Reception
We will invite high school students from diverse countries to create opportunities for more students to interact directly within their schools.
