The man is suspected of driving a light passenger car without a license issued by the Public Safety Commission on a road in Nagayama 2-jo 12-chome, Asahikawa City, around 3:00 p.m. on July 25.
According to police, the man caused an accident by rear-ending another passenger car. Officers rushed to the scene after receiving a report from the male driver of the other vehicle. When asked to present his license, it was discovered that he did not possess one.
There were no injuries resulting from the accident.
During questioning, the man admitted to the allegations, stating, “I have never obtained a driver’s license.” Police are investigating further details, including whether the man had been driving regularly.
