BANTEN – The Governor of Banten inspected the Karyajaya Village Main Road in Cimarga District, Lebak Regency on Wednesday (27/08). The 3.4-kilometer road will be repaired through the Prosperous Village Road Construction Program initiated by the Banten Provincial Government.

During the visit, the Governor stated that the current road condition is severely damaged and disrupts residents’ activities, particularly farmers who make up the majority of the local population.

“We are preparing the budget so that in the 2025 Revised Regional Budget, this village main road can be immediately constructed through the Program Bang Andra,” he said.

The road construction will involve collaboration from various parties. In addition to using the Banten Provincial Budget, the construction will also receive support from the Lebak Regency Budget and the Karyajaya Village Budget, each for one kilometer of repairs.

“We also have a commitment from the community to work together, especially in land preparation,” added the Governor.

Budget Limitation Challenges

According to him, the main challenge in village road construction lies in budget limitations. For this reason, the Banten Provincial Government is also seeking synergy with the central government through the presidential assistance program (Banpres).

“Our principle is that everything done together feels lighter,” said the Governor.

Budgeted at IDR 6.9 Billion

Meanwhile, the Head of the Banten Provincial Public Works and Housing Department mentioned that the construction of the 3.4-kilometer road has been budgeted at IDR 6.9 billion in the 2025 Revised Regional Budget.

“The Governor’s direction is clear – since this road serves more than 150 hectares of agricultural land, it must be a development priority,” explained the official.

From the technical side, the road will be built using reinforced concrete construction with a thickness of 20 cm and width of 3 meters to ensure durability against heavy vehicles that frequently pass through, such as trucks transporting agricultural products and timber.

“Hopefully with concrete construction, the road will be more durable and long-lasting, especially since the base soil condition is quite unstable,” clarified the official.

A resident of Karyajaya Village expressed support for the road construction plan. He stated the community’s enthusiasm after long awaiting better road access.

“We are very happy. Hopefully it can be built quickly because the community here has been eagerly awaiting this road improvement,” he stated.

“God willing, South Tangerang City is ready. We have prepared various venues, both those belonging to the city government, community, companies, and schools,” said the Deputy Mayor. “They are very enthusiastic about being involved, so we build synergy for mutual success.”

Synergy and Porprov 2026 Venue Readiness

The Deputy Mayor added that enthusiasm from various parties proves that Porprov Banten 2026 is a shared agenda. Various venues have been mapped, including facilities belonging to universities and military/police institutions.

“Certainly, we prepare venues according to standards. Some we will repair, others we will reorganize. The National Sports Committee will determine which are most suitable,” he explained.

Budget Support and Overall Champion Target

From the funding side, the South Tangerang City Government has distributed grant funds of IDR 25 billion in 2025 to support athlete development. Meanwhile, the budget for venue implementation will be synergized with the Banten Provincial Government through the 2026 Regional Budget.

The Banten Provincial Budget is not a cultural site or historical place, but rather the annual financial plan for the Indonesian province of Banten. Its history is tied to the province’s own establishment in 2000, when it separated from West Java and began managing its own fiscal affairs.
