Dozens of people stormed the suspected perpetrator of sexual abuse of scout students who were detained by the Police in Sukadiri, Tangerang Regency.

A suspected perpetrator of sexual abuse of a minor in Sukadiri District, Tangerang Regency, was attacked by a mob.

It is known that the suspect, with initials DR, aged 26, is a Scout extracurricular teacher at an elementary school in Sukadiri District, Tangerang Regency. The perpetrator is suspected of having sexually abused nine of his students.

In an amateur video, the storming of the suspected perpetrator took place at a resident’s house used as a meeting place for DR with one of the victims’ parents on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

During the meeting, DR was interrogated by a number of residents and subjected to violence.

Meanwhile, outside the house, hundreds of people watched the meeting between the perpetrator and the victim’s family.

The situation grew more heated when DR was about to be taken to the police station. The mob immediately moved to chase DR, who was already inside a patrol vehicle.

At that time, the police car also became a target of the residents’ anger. The situation became increasingly chaotic as several people at the location argued fiercely with officers trying to calm the mob.

“So initially, the victim informed their parents, then it was reported to the RT (neighborhood association) officials. Emotional residents then stormed the place,” said a resident, Nurwidyatno, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

Meanwhile, the Mauk Police Chief, AKP I Nyoman Nariana, confirmed the storming incident. He explained that his party had secured the suspected perpetrator.

“The individual is suspected of committing sexual abuse. Therefore, to avoid the mob’s wrath, he was secured at the Mauk Police Station,” he explained.

Nyoman revealed that based on a preliminary investigation, the perpetrator is suspected of having abused nine victims who were students at the elementary school where he taught scouts.

“However, everything is still under investigation,” he said.

The sexual abuse case is currently being handled by the Tangerang Police Resort’s Criminal Investigation Unit. In the near future, the police will reveal the modus operandi used by the suspect in the case.
