The Rafting sports branch competition of the Medan XV City Sports Week 2025 has been postponed from its originally scheduled date.

The Rafting competition was initially scheduled to take place at the Babura River, PLN City Forest Park, Medan City on Sunday. However, overnight rainfall has temporarily changed the schedule.

The competition schedule change was confirmed.

“Yes, the rafting competition originally scheduled for today has been postponed to adjust to weather conditions that occurred throughout last night,” it was stated.

Meanwhile, an official explanation provided more details regarding the schedule change.

It was explained that very heavy rainfall from Saturday at 18:00 WIB until Sunday at 02:00 in the morning led to the decision to postpone the competition schedule.

“The rafting competition of the Medan City Sports Week will be held again on Monday at 08:00 WIB tomorrow,” it was announced.

However, the competition location remains as scheduled at PLN Park, Babura River, Jend. Sudirman Street, Medan Baru, Medan City.

“As outlined in the 4 Pillars, one of the functions is as part of disaster response, therefore humanitarian calls must be prioritized, and this schedule postponement is hoped to be understood,” it was stated.
