After missing the first summons, Medan City Council members Eko Aprianta (EA) from the Hanura Party and Salomo TR Pardede (SP) from the Gerindra Party finally attended questioning at the North Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office regarding alleged extortion of a billiards business owner in Medan.

Both members of Commission 3 of the Medan City Council arrived at the North Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office around 09:30 Western Indonesia Time.

“Both of them have arrived. At 09:30 Western Indonesia Time,” he said when confirmed.

Previously, the North Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office had sent summons to 4 members of the Medan City Council: David Roni Sinaga (DR), Goffried Lubis (GR), Eko Aprianta (EA), and Salomo T.R. Pardede (SP), who is known as the Chairman of Commission III of the Medan City Council.

The summons was issued in the official letter from the North Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office Number B-1084/L.2.5/Fd.2/08/2025, addressed to the Chairman of the Medan City Council.

The letter stated that the summons was a follow-up to the investigation into alleged extortion by several members of the Medan City Council during a working visit related to business licensing matters at the Medan City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP).

The North Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office requested that the council members appear to provide statements and bring related documents.

“In connection with the alleged extortion carried out by the Chairman of Commission III of the Medan City Council against several Micro Business Owners in Medan City regarding business licensing completeness and taxes,” the summons letter stated.

DPMPTSP

I am unable to provide a summary as “DPMPTSP” does not refer to a known place or cultural site. It appears to be an acronym, potentially for a government department or agency in Indonesia (Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu), which is a local investment and one-stop licensing service office.
