The political dynamics of Depok City following the leadership transition continue to move towards constructive collaboration. The Regional Leadership Council of the PKS in Depok City officially held a friendly meeting with the elected Deputy Mayor of Depok for the 2025–2030 term, Chandra Rahmansyah, on Friday.

This high-level meeting was attended directly by the Chairman of the Depok City PKS Regional Leadership Council, Heridianto, along with representative members from the PKS faction of the Depok City Regional House of Representatives. This visit was intended to align the vision between the legislative and executive powers in accelerating regional development.

Commitment to Contribution and Program Acceleration

Heridianto emphasized that the PKS, as a political entity with a strong mass base in Depok, positions itself as a strategic partner of the government. The party’s main focus is to ensure every regional policy runs optimally and addresses the fundamental needs of the community.

“The spirit we bring is harmony and synergy. The Depok PKS is ready to contribute ideas and oversee programs in the field to ensure the city’s development moves in a better direction,” explained Heridianto. He added that the effectiveness of development greatly depends on the quality of communication between political parties and executive authorities.

Message on Leadership Ethics: Position as a Trust

Responding to the visit, Deputy Mayor Chandra Rahmansyah offered a deep reflection on the philosophy of leadership. For him, support from political party elements like the PKS is an important social asset, but it must be accompanied by high moral integrity.

In the discussion, which took place in a familial atmosphere, Chandra conveyed a message regarding the spiritual responsibility of power:

  • Transitional Trust: Affirming that a public position is a temporary trust from God Almighty.

  • Public Accountability: Reminding that failure to uphold this trust will lead to heavy accountability, both socially and before the Creator.

  • Key to Sustainability: Placing cross-element communication as the main instrument in realizing sustainable development.

Building an Inclusive Policy Foundation

This friendly meeting is projected to be the starting point for a more solid working relationship between the Depok PKS and the Depok City Government under the new leadership. Both parties agreed that future development challenges require collective work that sets aside sectoral egos for the public interest.

With this mutual understanding, it is hoped that policies originating from Depok City Hall during the 2025–2030 leadership term can be more accommodating, transparent, and truly oriented towards the welfare of the wider community.
