The Narcotics Investigation Directorate thwarted the circulation of marijuana with a total weight of 6.2 kilograms (kg) in Depok City, West Java. One suspect with initials HF (37) was arrested.
The Unit 4 Head of Sub-Directorate 1 of the Metro Jaya Police Narcotics Investigation Directorate stated that suspect HF was arrested on Wednesday (April 1, 2026), at around 00:30 AM local time. This arrest was made after officers received information from the public regarding suspected narcotics trafficking activities in the Rangkapan Jaya Baru area, Pancoran Mas, Depok.
“Based on the investigation results, officers then secured the suspect HF (37) on Marthadinata Street,” the official told reporters on Wednesday (April 15).
After arresting HF, officers searched the crime scene. As a result, evidence of marijuana with a total weight of 6.2 kg was found.
“From the search, police found evidence in the form of marijuana with a gross weight of approximately 6,203 grams,” he explained.
After the arrest, the suspect along with the evidence was immediately taken to the Metro Jaya Police Narcotics Investigation Directorate office. The suspect will undergo further examination.
On this occasion, the official also appealed to the public, especially in the Jakarta and surrounding areas, to stay away from drugs. Drug crimes are considered capable of damaging the nation’s generation.
“Let us together eradicate drugs, live a healthy life without drugs,” he added.
