Defense Policy Support and Mission Objectives
This troop deployment plan is an initiative that was conveyed by the Minister of Defense after a meeting with the Head of the Joint Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces.
The Minister of Defense explained that a large contingent of soldiers (20,000 troops) was prepared to maximize assistance. This mission was initiated following peace efforts such as a ceasefire and disarmament in Gaza. The primary objective of the troop deployment is to help maintain the peaceful situation so it can last longer until a definitive political negotiation is achieved.
