Margonda Road in Depok was suddenly thrown into traffic chaos after a large tree, toppled by strong winds, fell onto a car that happened to be passing underneath. The incident was reported to have occurred around 2:20 PM local time on Monday.

The Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of the Metro Depok Police immediately responded to the incident.

“The Traffic Unit of Metro Depok Police carried out initial evacuation efforts for the fallen tree that hit a car on Margonda Road,” stated the unit.

Police officers, in coordination with the Transportation Department, went directly to the location. The primary handling priorities were securing the incident area and managing the traffic flow, which had been completely gridlocked due to the fallen tree trunk.
