Depok (15/05/2026) – The National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) of Depok City officially announced 35 high school students who passed the selection as Candidates for the Flag Raising Troop (Capaska) at the Depok City level for 2026. These selected students managed to outshine hundreds of other candidates in a rigorous screening process that lasted nearly three months.

The final formation of Depok City Capaska for this year consists of 18 male students and 17 female students, coming from various Senior High Schools (SMA) and Islamic Senior High Schools (MA) across the Depok area.

Tight Competition Through a Series of Technical Tests

The Head of Bakesbangpol Depok City, Dudi Mi’raz Imaduddin, revealed that the high enthusiasm among students made this year’s competition level very competitive.

  • Selection Ratio: The initial registration process recorded 358 students participating, with the majority eliminated in various elimination stages.

  • Implementation Timeline: The periodic selection was conducted intensively from February 27 to May 2, 2026.

  • Testing Materials: Comprehensive assessment components included tests on national insight, General Intelligence Test (TIU), medical examinations, parade drills, Marching Regulations (PBB), physical fitness, personality assessment, and final monitoring.

“Alhamdulillah, we have determined the 35 Capaska for 2026. They are the best sons and daughters of Depok City, ready to carry out their duties at the 81st Independence Day ceremony,” said Dudi in his official statement on Friday (15/5).

Preparation for Physical Training and Provincial Level Delegation

Being selected as a Capaska is considered by Dudi as a golden opportunity and a great responsibility for the students. This is because the preparation agenda leading up to August is still very packed.

The Bakesbangpol party urges all selected members to maintain optimal physical condition and stamina. This step is crucial given the increasingly challenging training ahead, especially since Depok City is scheduled to send a pair of the best Capaska representatives to participate in the selection at the West Java Province level next week.

Through thorough training, this program is expected not only to succeed in the implementation of the independence ceremony but also to produce a young generation of Depok that is characterized, disciplined, and has a strong spirit of nationalism.
