The city government has declared an emergency alert status for floods, extreme weather, and landslides. This alert remains in effect until the end of August.

The emergency status for floods and landslides was also announced on the official social media account of the Bekasi City Disaster Management Agency (BPBD). The decision is based on Bekasi Mayor’s Decree No. 400.9.10/Kep.448-BPBD/VII/2025.

“The Bekasi City Government has declared an Emergency Alert Status for Floods, Extreme Weather, and Landslides, effective from July 25 to August 31, 2025,” stated the Bekasi City BPBD in its announcement.

Residents are urged to remain cautious of potential floods, strong winds, and landslides. They are also advised to report any emergency situations.

“This emergency alert status has been declared as a precaution against potential major hydrometeorological disasters, such as floods, extreme weather, and landslides, which may still occur during the delayed and unusually wet dry season,” explained the Bekasi City BPBD in its statement.
