Bogor – The Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School Network across Indonesia, based in Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java, has expressed deep condolences over the collapse of a mosque building at Al-Khoziny Islamic Boarding School in Sidoarjo, East Java, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of several students.

In a written statement, the leadership of the Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School Network across Indonesia expressed their deepest condolences to the victims’ families, caregivers, and the entire Al-Khoziny Islamic Boarding School community.

“We offer our best prayers to Allah the Almighty for the victims who have passed away, that they may be granted forgiveness, mercy, and an honorable place by His side. May they be counted among the martyrs who died while worshiping and seeking knowledge,” the statement said.

The leadership of the Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School Network also prayed for the students still undergoing treatment to be granted complete recovery, physical and spiritual strength, and renewed enthusiasm in seeking knowledge. The leadership also emphasized that they share the deep sorrow over this tragedy.

“Our hearts are with the families of the victims, the caregivers, and the entire Al-Khoziny community. In this time of grief, we call upon all Muslims to cultivate solidarity, unity, and empathy, to help each other and ease the burden of our grieving brothers and sisters,” the statement continued.

According to the statement, the tragedy at Al-Khoziny Islamic Boarding School in Sidoarjo serves as a valuable reminder that behind every trial there is wisdom and a call to strengthen mutual care among people.

It is hoped that this incident will raise collective awareness about the importance of shared responsibility in maintaining the safety and continuity of Islamic education.
